This Sydney charity can use your old furniture to help people in need

Upgrading an old sofa, or have a fridge gathering dust? Consider getting in touch with The Generous & The Grateful. They look for home essentials to donate to people rebuilding their lives after hardship.

Their mission statement gives a little insight into their vision.

“Our mission is to connect generous everyday Australians donating essential household items with people who have faced extreme adversity; so that they may create a safe warm home, from which they can rebuild their lives and have a better future.”

The Generous:

The Generous and the Grateful use GoGet vans to collect quality donations from people across Sydney. They might be upgrading their furniture or white goods, or moving overseas.

The Grateful:

The team distribute these goods to people seeking asylum, fleeing domestic violence, or transitioning from youth foster care.

We really love what this group is doing, and we want to put them in touch with anyone who is keen to help.
